I need help today

What the North East is telling us

People who use this site can choose to count their situation, anonymously, towards this page. It shows what's hurting, where, so we can add the help that's missing and make the case to councils and funders.

How it stays anonymous. We never keep names, postcodes, contact details or anything anyone typed: only the council area, whether they're a resident or a business, and a handful of themes. Nothing about an area is shown unless at least five people there have said the same thing, and small totals are shown as ranges. It's a picture of the people who chose to share, not a survey of everyone.

We've started listening

This page fills in once at least 5 people have shared. If you've used the site, you can count yourself in at the bottom of your results page or when you explain your situation.

What we do with it

  • Add listings for the problems people raise most, and check those listings more often.
  • Spot where no scheme exists, and point people to real partners who can help.
  • Show councils, charities and funders where support is needed, with numbers behind it.
